new to blogging

I am still getting the hang of this blogging but I enjoy reading other blogs so I thought it would be something fun to try out. I celebrated my birthday two weeks ago and it was a great time. We went to Carlucci's and ate outdoors while listening to a band play. It was quality time spent with family and I really enjoyed it. I had such a wonderful birthday and I am so blessed to be healthy and happy!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the man I look up to... my DAD! My dad is one of my biggest role models and I am so blessed for all that he does for me. I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for him so thank you for helping me become the person I am today. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift anyone could give--believing in me! Love you so much!

I GRADUATED COLLEGE TODAY!

I am starting my blog today as I start a new adventure-- graduating from college! I graduated from college today with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in ELL. Today is my college graduation! I am so incredibly excited to start my career as a teacher. I may not be graduating from where I thought I would be but that has not stopped me from accomplishing so much. College is a remarkable experience and I am thankful everyday that I have the privilege of such a great education. Thank you to my family who has helped me pursue this dream and supporting me every step of the way. I love you so much. Thank you to the many friends I have made on my college journey. You all have taught me so much and are remarkable people. In college it is said that you meet some of your best friends and that is without a doubt true for me. Shout out to 2b. I cannot even begin to list the amount of friendships I have made throughout Michigan and Illinois. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends who make every experience better because they are there. Thank you to the professors who have taught my general education classes, which have helped me become a more well rounded person. Thank you to the professors in the education departments from both of my schools. I thank you for giving me all the education knowledge you know. Thank you to my cooperating teachers and students who allowed me to grow as an educator through observations and teaching in your classrooms. Those experiences allowed me to improve my ways of teaching. I have learned way more than I imagined possible inside AND outside the classroom. I know this is just the beginning because I have so much more to learn. I am so happy to be receiving a degree in the career I have dreamed about since I was in kindergarten! Congratulations to all of my friends who are also graduating. What an exciting day! Class of 2014 :)
